Klemen Šešok is a Slovenian entrepreneur and industrial leader who, together with his family, co-owns and helps steer the Iskra Group—a diversified industrial group with a strong regional heritage and a clear focus on operational excellence, growth, and technology-driven solutions for energy and infrastructure. Iskra operates internationally across several segments, including electrical components, cable manufacturing, traffic automation and railway signalling, and shipyard activities, while actively expanding its footprint across Europe. In parallel, he manages a family investment pillar focused on logistics real estate across multiple countries.
By training, Klemen is a lawyer with an MBA, but he is also a farmer, bringing a practical, long-term owner’s mindset to both industrial operations and capital allocation. Recently, Klemen has placed particular emphasis on the energy transition and ESG as a competitive advantage. Iskra’s factory in Kranj can operate off-grid and was the first in Slovenia to deploy an industrial-scale battery energy storage system. He also co-invests in renewable energy, including a minority stake in the Krivača wind farm in partnership with Alfi Renewables, and supports the development of regional industrial capabilities, including Elka (an electric cable factory).
Beyond direct investments, Klemen and his family back multiple private equity funds and support the region’s leading venture capital platform, Fil Rouge Capital, reflecting a broader commitment to scaling high-quality businesses and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Mojca Zupan is a Slovenian innovator and entrepreneur best known for developing and patenting a breakthrough filtration solution that prevents microfibres from washing machines from entering waterways.
